Electric Guitar Parts Kit: Audio Taper CTS 500k Pot Set of 4

A set of four 500K full-size potentiometers with short/split, knurled shafts is available. These potentiometers feature aluminum bushings and shafts with a 15% tolerance. Each pot comes with a nut, lock, and dress washer. They are designed for USA-made guitars and have a threaded bushing that is 3/8" tall by 3/8" in diameter.

Manufactured for TAOT by CTS, these pots are equivalent to the 500K pots distributed by Allparts as part # EP 086. It's important to note that these potentiometers are sized for USA-made guitars. If purchasing for an import guitar, the openings will need to be enlarged to 3/8" diameter. Short shaft pots should not be used if the guitar has a control plate.

As a general rule, Les Paul guitars made before 1977 will use short-shaft pots, but it's recommended to double-check before ordering, as returns are not accepted for this item.

The potentiometers are designed for USA-made guitars with imperial sizing and feature a 3/8" threaded bushing for a secure fit. They offer smooth operation with low friction rotation, thanks to the aluminum shaft and bushing.
